The first part of the contribution introduces comparison of the classical rhetoric as taught and employed by the Province of Bohemia of the Society of Jesus. The other part brings a closer look at university sermons by a professor of the Prague university P. Caspar Knittel SJ, which are typical examples of conceptual writing at the break of 18th century and, due to the lecturer's opinion, one of the peaks of conceptism in the Czech lands
